More about Sean Newsom
Sean Newsom loves skiing so much that he has made it his job, writing for The Sunday Times as their ski editor. He is also founder of welove2ski.com, the UK's leading specialist ski website.
"Skiing fast in the sunshine with your friends is one of the purest and brightest pleasures I know," he says. "Absolutely everyone should give it a go. If it were up to me they'd be giving ski and snowboard holidays away on the National Health. It would improve Britain's winter well-being in an instant!"

Andorra nestles on the border between France and Spain and is a land of narrow valleys and mountainous landscapes. An estimated 10 million people visit Andorra each year, many drawn by the winter sports on offer, plus the small country's tax-haven status, which allows them to return home loaded with duty-free goods.
Although Andorra's ski resorts do not offer the same level of sophistication as others in France, Switzerland or Austria, in recent years there has been substantial investment in efficient, modern lifts, as well as piste maintenance and grooming.
Many of the young crowd drawn to Andorra enjoy snowboarding and resorts now boast fun-parks and half-pipes amongst their facilities, and many areas are installing more chairs and gondolas. There is a lively après-board scene, with good cheap bars and night clubs.
Our guide will help you find the best resort for you, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier or snowboarder.
