Anyone who fancies themselves on skis or a snowboard will end up in Chamonix eventually. Set in the shadow of the Mont Blanc massif - the highest in the Alps - it's home to an unparalleled array of hard-core off-piste routes, and is arguably the extreme-skiing capital of the world.

The great thing about Jackson Hole is the range of difficulty it encompasses. There are slopes here that only the stars of extreme-skiing movies will attempt. But there are also plenty of challenging lines to be skied (or snowboarded) by those who are just beginning to venture off-piste - and the ski school is very adept at showing you how.
