Holiday parks

Every company will have slightly different rules as to what to expect as an included item within your price and what you will have to pay extra for or supply yourself.

Check their websiteswhen booking and if you are in any doubt at all, check with the company concerned so you have no nasty surprises on arrival.

Check out the points below when booking your holiday and factor in the costs accordingly:

  • Travel to the holiday park (including any ferries and tolls)
  • Bedding and towels - these may or may not be charged for or you may have to supply your own.
  • Deposit for breakages
  • Parking
  • Welcome packs (basic food package for self catering)
  • Cooking equipment and crockery/cutlery
  • Entertainment
  • Children's clubs and child care
  • Activities
  • Electric and gas charges
  • Waste charges
  • Communal washing facilities
  • Insurance for the property, travel insurance and breakages
You also need to fully cost your holiday, not just the price you are paying for the accommodation.  Include all of your extras such as petrol or other method of reaching your destination.  Fuel, any additional motor insurance and a budget for meals and entertainment should also be factored in to your holiday spend.
